When Pastor Livingston arrived, the membership was 22. Under his ministry and leadership, the church has grown to its present membership of over 6800.
Central has two worship services with an attendance of over 6000 people. Pastor Livingston's ministry is well known throughout the country, as he presently serves as the voice of Forward in Faith, the international radio program for the Church of God, and has served as the Chairman of the Executive Council of the Church of God several times.
Educational Background:
Graduated from Bowman Senior High School in Wadesboro, NC in 1970.
Graduated from Lee College in Cleveland, TN in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Pastor Livingston served as an evangelist for five years before accepting the pastorate of Central Church in Charlotte, NC in 1977.
Pastor Livingston married the former Sandra Weatherby in 1973, and they are the parents of four daughters: Anna (married to Mr. Shannon Burton), Amy (married to Mr. Doug Arvin), Ada, and Abigail and four grandsons, Spencer, Lincoln, and Fletcher given to them by Anna and Shannon; Caleb given to them by Amy and Doug.
