Social Connection: A grownup tea party! A place where women can talk, laugh and enjoy being together while also enjoying yummy drinks and treats.

Deeper Connection: Storytelling! One woman each month will share her personal story with the group.

While driving to work that morning, an idea for a novel regarding this thought came to his mind. That night he mentioned it to his wife who said, "“You should write it!"” So he did. And he continues to write – 13 books later, Robert and his wife, Kathy, will be our Primetimer guests. Get your $8* ticket by October 6.

Even Jesus took time away from the crowds, away from the demands of everyday life, to pray, to spend time with friends.

Holiday Benefit

Tuesday, Nov 18, 2014 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Main Campus, Women

In Weatherby Hall
Special Guest: Jill Marquis

Millions of women silently carry the pain and heartache of a previous abortion. It is our desire to see those affected by abortion forgiven and set free by our Lord. Many are trying desperately to hide their secret deep in their hearts, and many are suffering severe consequences. With love and compassion, we want to show these women how to replace the enemy’s lies with God’s truths, leading to healing and freedom. Special guest, Jill Marquis, is a post-abortive woman who will share her testimony of how she found forgiveness in Christ. Jill serves as national trainer for “Surrendering the Secret” a bible based, post-abortive study.

Bundles of Love Baby Shower: We are partnering with Pregnancy Resource Center of Charlotte and you can represent the love of Christ by donating items to mothers-to-be. The Pregnancy Resource Center provides free services and support for women in the Charlotte area who find themselves in an unexpected pregnancy. Item donations can include: diapers, wipes, sleepers, onesies, bibs, clothes, blankets, bottles, pacifiers, baby shampoo, washcloths & towels, diaper bags, gift certificates, etc.

Tickets are $10*, meal included. Purchase tickets by November 9, 2014.

Human trafficking is real and it’s happening in our own backyard, here in Charlotte. North Carolina is consistently ranked in the top ten states where human trafficking takes place. It’s hard to believe in 2015 slavery still exists, people are trapped and forced to work as laborers or prostitutes. Traffickers target society’s most vulnerable. Victims include immigrants and children. Children who are loners or runaways are popular targets. Learn how you can help make a difference. Help put an end to modern-day slavery.

Tickets are $10*, meal included. Purchase tickets by March 8, 2015.

Pure Religion 5K to Help Stamp Out Human Trafficking

Saturday, Apr 18, 2015 8:00 am - 11:00 am
Church-wide, Pure Religion
April 18, 2015
9:00 a.m.
Race Starts in the Student Life Center Parking Lot
To register: www.purereligion5k.com

Central church invites you to join us for our 5th annual Pure Religion 5K to promote awareness and fight against human trafficking. There are millions enslaved worldwide – more than at any other point in human history. After drug trafficking, human trafficking, or modern-day slavery, is the second largest criminal industry in the world. We can't imagine the horror of a 12-year-old girl being sold to a brothel and there are an estimated 100,000 minors in the United States alone trapped in sex trafficking. Please join with hundreds in the Charlotte community as we walk/run for freedom of those enslaved.

Early bird rates until February 28, 2015.
T-shirt deadline is April 6, 2015.
Sponsors are needed for the 2015 race. Contact Brenda at brendal@centralchurchofgod.org
