Membership
What qualifies me to become a member?
Individuals, including school aged children, who have personally received Christ as their Savior and Lord, and who desire to be committed to Central Church of God as a local body of believers.
Can I transfer my membership from another Church of God church?
Yes, you can! Transference of membership from another Church of God church may be made by letter of transfer, stating that the applicant is a member in good standing.
How do I become a member?
All adults, middle school and high school aged children are required to attend both the Wednesday session called "Pastor's Perspective" and the 4-week "Life at Central" class if you would like to become a member. All elementary school aged children seeking membership are required to attend a class designed just for them that takes place during the "Pastor's Perspective".
Interview with Pastoral Staff
Each person who completes the classes will automatically be assigned to a Pastoral Staff member to have an informal interview. This time will be spent hearing your personal testimony and answering any questions you may have about membership at Central Church. If you decide you are not interested in membership at this point, you may inform the Staff Member when they contact you to schedule an interview.
New Member Public Affirmation
Finally, you will be received into membership, Public Affirmation, during a Sunday evening worship service with a Reception following the service formalizing your decision. This gives everyone a chance to celebrate with you!
