During the past 18 years Central Church has sent out over 2,200 people on over 200 teams around the world to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These individuals, most of whom have no formal training or special gifts, have served on 5 continents and in 28 countries working with children, evangelizing the lost, saturating areas in prayer, building orphanages and churches, distributing food and clothing, teaching new believers, and preaching to the lost in the mountains, jungles, cities, and countryside.
Lives have been changed, relationships and friendships have been formed, believers around the world have been strengthened and encouraged, and those who have gone on the short-term teams have discovered a deeper and more intimate walk with their Lord!
2010 has been a year where we have seen more involvement from people participating on our short-term mission teams than in the past ten years. More and more people this year have felt the need to go and bring the Good News of Jesus Christ, through word and deed, to the billions who need to know of His death and resurrection. The Lord continues to deal with those who will listen to His call and obey the mandate of the Great Commission.
There are over 1.6 billion people in the world who have never heard the name of Jesus and 2.4 billion who have heard the Gospel but have never made a personal commitment to Christ. That means that 2/3 of the world's population is destined to an eternity without Christ. We have the responsibility as believers to take the light that dwells within us to a lost and dying world!
We are also excited about the new possibilities and locations that are opening up to send teams in 2011. New countries and new ministries mean new opportunities to make an impact on this world for Christ!
Change your life and someone else's by taking that step of faith and signing up to GO in 2011! You CAN make a difference!!
