Primetimers
Primetimers is a ministry of Central by and for adults ages 50 and up. Recognizing that individuals of this age group have reached a chronological age that can bring experience, time, financial resources, and a desire to serve, primetimers utilize these qualities to achieve its purpose of ministry within our age group and availability to serve in other areas of the church. Primetimers provide four basic areas of ministry, each of which offers opportunities for service and participation.
Care and Outreach - A comprehensive ministry coordinated with other church ministries to provide spiritual and physical support to senior adults in crisis due to illness, hospitalization, or other personal circumstances. The outreach also maintains a network of contact through correspondence and visitation.
"Primetime Post" - a monthly newsletter published and distributed by senior adults and available by mail to anyone who requests inclusion on the mailing list. Information regarding scheduled dinners and special events is printed in the "Primetime Post."
Monthly Dinners - An event presented on the first Tuesday of each month from September through May, which features a delicious dinner and meaningful fellowship, highlighted by premier entertainment. Tickets are $7.00 each.
Special Events and Projects - Includes trips, summer get-togethers, talent shows, seminars, and outreach events. Primetimers enjoy planning and participating in special events and projects. These activities are publicized through the "Primetime Post" and church bulletin.
We are a group of people who have reached that prime time in our lives when we know that the best time is that in which we fellowship with our Lord and serve Him as we minister to each other.
