Security

The Safety & Security department oversees two very important teams here at Central, the Security & Medical teams. It is the mission of these teams to be the eyes and ears of the congregation during services and special events so that worshippers do not have to worry about their safety. Or, if a medical need arises, there is first response medical attention readily available from healthcare professionals.

Often times, security issues can be prevented by having a security presence. The security team strives to provide that presence by filling posts that blanket the campus monitoring the sanctuary, as well as the other buildings, looking out for the safety of the congregation and the children and youth in the passage, preschool, and Kid’s Central. Team members stay in constant communication through the use of radios. This speeds up response time in the case of an incident. This allows for the medical team member to also be alerted if medical assistance is needed.

All team members meet regularly to discuss team matters and educate themselves on relevant medical and security matters.

This dedicated team is made up of volunteers from our congregation who have had security or medical training and have a calling to serve the Lord and Central’s congregation through this ministry.
