Youth Ministries

Volunteer youth volunteer are the life blood of Wide Open youth ministry. We can't accomplish anything without the faithful volunteers who help bring the vision of our ministry to life. We always welcome more adults and with smiling faces to serve beside us! We have the best team of youth volunteers in Charlotte to work in this ministry.  Our youth volunteers are appreciated beyond words. 

Discipling teens is our main focus.  I know that God is moving and we want to move with Him.  Come check us out and see where God needs YOU! This ministry is WIDE OPEN for workers to help in the talents God has given you.  We have many areas that you could get involved.

Why should I be a youth volunteer?
Over 86% of salvations occur BEFORE the age of 18, so you can see why you're needed.  Youth need strong role models that exemplify Christ's compassion and discipleship.

What is expected of me?
Basic expectations are described in detail in our youth worker application. In general,  all youth workers are expected  and encouraged to regularly attend monthly meetings as well as volunteer in some capacity at least twice a month.

How long do I have to commit to being a youth worker?
Our youth workers come with a lifetime guarantee!  Once you sign on the dotted line we own you until you win the lottery or the RAPTURE, whichever comes first. No, but seriously, youth workers serve in a variety  of ways both short and long term. This ranges from various one time events and fundraisers to teaching a quarterly Workshop class on Sunday mornings.
